Jerome Daniels, leader of the Trust Fund captured the Metroplex Wrestling Championship last night at their annual event, All on the Line. Daniels, who won the title opportunity in a triple threat match, defeated "Unholy" Gregory James in a TLC match. Gregory James had been the champion since July 12, when he won it off Mace Malone. The Trust Fund also grew stronger last night, as the savage Scott Murdoch joined their alliance. He came out during the match to help Gregory James fight off the Trust Fund. James made it up the ladder when suddenly Murdoch issued a devastating powerbomb to his now former ally.
The Trust Fund is now Jerome Daniels, Viktor Tadlock, Joey Garcia, Thomas Shire, and Scott Murdoch. Although Thomas Shire hasn't been present for the last two shows, and they never mention him anymore. It's safe to say that he's out. What happens next with the Trust Fund we do not know. One unanswered question leftover from All on the Line is Mike Foxx. He and Tadlock took on Murdoch and Lance Hoyt earlier in the show, and it was understood that Foxx's services had been purchased for the night by the Trust Fund. When Murdoch came out he killed Foxx with a spear, which left a lot of confusion in Foxx and his manager, Kyle David. General manager Kyle Valo's request for vacation time has been denied, and he's been ordered to have another show next week. So, maybe any lingering questions will be addressed then.
Other results from the card are as follows:
Randy Wayne defeated Kyle Hawk in a bullrope match with an assist from his manager James Hawke.
Ben Wylde got a victory over Richter 5-0, after Richter's manager inadvertently distracted the referee and Wylde used it to his advantage, low blowing Richter on the top rope, and then finishing the job with a top turnbuckle tornado powerbomb.
Scott Murdoch and Lance Hoyt won over Mike Foxx and Viktor Tadlock. Murdoch hit a Doctor Bomb on Tadlock as Hoyt and Foxx battled on the outside.
The eliminations in the Prospect Championship 8 person gauntlet match were:
Zero over Paige Turner.
Joey Garcia over Zero (after Paige Turner took Zero out with her Dewey Decimator when their match was over)
Joey Garcia over Kristopher Haiden
Joey Garcia over Livi LaVida Loca
Kenny Steele over Joey Garcia
Randy Wayne over Kenny Steele
Kyle Hawk over Randy Wayne to become the new MPX Prospect Champion!
The AIW Women's Championship was up for grabs as "The Wrestling Goddess" Athena took on Claudia in a no disqualification match. Highlight of the match was when Athena gave Claudia a Chickenwing Facebuster into a pile of thumbtacks. Athena was able to retain her title after putting Claudia into a stepover toehold facelock while embedded in the thumbtacks.
The Rabid Empire (Steve Kirby and Kevin Cross) were able to fend off three other teams in a four team elimination match to retain the MPX Tag Team Championships. The Flying Jackasses (Frankie Fisher & B.C.) were eliminated first, then Simply Irresistible (Matthew Palmer & Jiggle-O James Johnson), and finally the Manliest Men (Larry Canis & Michael Shafer) were eliminated by Rabid Empire.
Another great night of wrestling in Bedford, Texas.
Big thanks to Brandon Shue for match results!
